East San Antonio is situated south and east of Alamo Heights and northeast of downtown, in between IH-35, IH-10, and Loop 410. This area is fairly industrialized in the southeast portion near the junction of IH-35 and Loop 410, transitioning to more residential as one goes further north or west. Neighborhoods in East San Antonio include Skyline Park, Willow Park, Artesia, and Denver Heights. Homes in these well-established neighborhoods were mostly built in the mid-to-late part of the 20th Century and range from single family homes to duplexes and garden homes. Most apartments in East San Antonio were also built during this time period. What an East San Antonio apartment might lack in modern amenities, it makes up for in part with easy access to some of the city’s largest employers, downtown, and entertainment – especially sports. Additionally, East San Antonio apartments are typically less per square foot than those in the neighboring Alamo Heights or Downtown, giving you more bang for your buck, with close proximity to still enjoy the dining or entertainment options in and around those areas.
